There has been a lot of information in the news about not paying your mortgage and applying for a Forbearance Agreement with your bank.  Recently, Governor Lamont announced that banks and credit unions in Connecticut will waive mortgage payments or approve Forbearance Agreements relating to one’s mortgage obligation.  There has been no discussion about what the terms of the mortgage will be after the expiration of the Forbearance period.

If your student was sent home due to the COVID-19 outbreak, you may be wondering what recourse you have to recover room, board and meals that were paid for but not used.

Good news. Connecticut State Colleges and Universities President Mark Ojakian this week directed the four Connecticut State Universities, including The University of Connecticut, Eastern Connecticut State University, Central Connecticut State University and Southern Connecticut State Universities, to credit student accounts for unused room and board, with the crediting to be complete next week.

It is hopeful that other private Universities will follow suit.  If your client goes to a CT State College or University please be on the look out for a credit.
